Happy Birthday, dear International Society of Bionic Engineering. 10 years is a long time, but you are still young, dynamic and very successful family of excellent fellows. We are all united by our passion to nature, but also driven by the great will to improve human life through development of novel technologies. This is great link and great mission and ISBE can be proud of its achievements!

Congratulation on the 10 years’ anniversary of ISBE. In this dynamically changing world, the grand mission of the ISBE remains unchanged. Over the past 10 years, my research and career have been greatly promoted by the ISBE. On the bumpy, dark journey to pursuing the true science, ISBE is more than a society, but a compass and a shining light. ISBE has been and will continue to be interdisciplinary, sustainable, blossoming and exceptional.

I sincerely celebrate the 10th anniversary of ISBE, and I am grateful for your contribution to leading the field of bionic engineering in the past decade. It is a pity that all conferences and meetings have been canceled due to Corona19. However, we believe that innovative solutions inspired by nature will provide a good answer to problems such as environmental pollution, energy and resource depletion, as well as overcoming corona19. I hope that ISBE will continue to make a great contribution to the sustainable development of the planet and humanity.

Our ancestors have been imitating amazing abilities of other species on the earth. Bionics, the original nomenclature on its creation in 1960, has definitely told us that it is a science based on biology. Thanks ISBE for its endeavors to gather various talents all around world, fortunately, more and more biologists have joined us. Especially, ISBE is constructing bionics to be an independent science. I can title myself as a BIONIST hereafter. A younger asked me a typical question: "Do you believe alien?""Sure!" I answered. I also believe ISBE will evolve to be USBE: Universal Society of Bionic Engineering.

It is my honor to congratulate 10th anniversary of International Society of Bionic Engineering. This is an amazing milestone representing an exciting advancement on integrating the nature science with engineering. We would like to thank Academician Ren for establishing this international platform to share our creative ideas and do international cooperation. Over the last 10 years, ISBE has played host to many high-level conference or workshops for members, bringing together scholars all over the world. I believe that ISBE will grow stronger with all our efforts of ISBE committee and members. I wish ISBE every success and congratulations once again on the 10th anniversary of foundation.

Nurtured by our Mother Nature with the wisdom of 13.7 billion years, the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE) has come along to its 10th year. This unique platform has been playing an important role of promoting this newly emerging field of bionic engineering. It stands at a critical position that unify the passionate researchers across broad disciplines to create new technologies and advance science for better society, while it is dedicated to cultivating the vibrant next generations in this big family. Along with our family members, we proudly celebrate the accomplishment that ISBE has made over the past 10 years and look forward to its broader impact in the future.

It take great pleasure to extend my heartiest congratulations to the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE)on this auspicious 10th anniversary celebration. Ever since its founding in 2010, the ISBE has achieved tremendous growth and has built eminent contributions to the bionic engineering community by bring relevant experts and scholars together to encourage the communication and cooperation among them. Thanks to ISBE’s dedicated effort, the bionic engineering society has made remarkable progress in the innovation of bionic science and the extension of bionic technology. I wish the ISBE all the best for the future, and hope it reaches to new heights in the coming years.

I wish to congratulate ISBE on its 10th year anniversary and its ongoing significant role in bionics and biomimetics research. Understanding nature and realizing its functionalities for advanced robotic systems become active research and require a platform to create tight interactions between researchers from engineering and life science. First of all, congratulations to the 10th anniversary of the ISBE. Nature is so fantastic and there are so many new things to discover. We can learn a lot from nature and create a better life through providing bionic products, which is the core of bionics. The establishment of ICBE pioneered by Prof Luquan Ren provides such a great platform for scientists and engineers who are dedicated in the area to exchange progress and ideas, inspire each other, for the students to meet senior scientists. I was not present in the early beginning of ISBE, but I ISBE was there to guide me through my first baby steps through the Bioinspiration and Biomimetic field, in 2012. Within these last eight years, I grew a lot as a researcher in this field, and learnt so much during the conferences, workshops, contact and cooperation with the rich and multidisciplinary community of ISBE. The contribution of the International Society of Bionic Engineering in the dissemination of Bionics, Bioinspired technology, Biomimetics has been undeniable, both in the fundamental areas as well as in a wide range of applications and technology development.

But only 10 years ago, we had the platform, the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE), to bring together the talented researchers across broad disciplines all round the world.
